Wow I didnt know operating systems could be such a touchy subject
Anyway I have XP on one comp and Vista on the other - I have been happy with Vista so far - Only cause I am a noob when it comes to operating systems and Vista makes things simple.
Absolutely NT is the way to go in a corporate setting with numerous sitting in front of workstations. NT allows the Admin to take away a lot of the functionality that a stand-alone windows box can do. The registry is usually locked-up rock solid and can only be edit or changed from the Admins Office.
The Admin can:
Disallow the installation of any software from a workstation.
Disallow the ability to d-load and save files from the internet.
Control the sending and receiving of emails. Usually a corporation will have a complete corporate address book and usually Outlook is set to reject any email that the sender is not in the corporate address book. Or just reject all images and/or attachments.
Lot's of control from the Security aspect in NT...
