Hi,
I haven't had time to read about J!1.5 so I was wondering if someone could post what new features ect.. are in Joomla 1.5 compared to the current version!

it doesnt mention anything about groups, are we going to be able to edit / manage / create groups without 3rd paty component?

Not in 1.5, true ACL support is planned for version 2.
So for 1.5 you still need to use JACL or similar. - I use simplix, does this mean that I'm a simple guy ?

It's a manual install though for now until I finish the 1.5 package maker in RokCodeIt for 1.5

No. RokACL will be able to do that (actually it can now).
Awesome, one small thing, is RokACL primary for J!1.5 or is it compatible with joomla 1.0.13?

- Daniel, it's for 1.5 only. The reason is that 1.0 has a mongelised version of the phpGACL libraries. 1.5 has the full library as well as some db updates and a few other things that allow it to work. I'll be able to run most of my super-components (the Zine and Things) with full ACL probably on the next versions after initial release (1.1+ etc). For Joomla! content I need to experiment with some hacks that would be required and that will take some more time ... but with some luck the whole shebang will be able to be dropped into Joomla! 1.6 natively.

Hi Andrew,
Can you direct me to information on how to manually install RokACL. I downloaded from the SVN but can't get it to install. Thanks! - Do wacha gotta do to get to where you wanna be.
