I have a client who wants a domain name but only the .uk.com is available.
What is the general feeling on .uk.com domains? I know they are second level, but so are .co.uk and they are great domains to use.
I would not venture a serious business under somename.uk.com that would give an impression that you are affiliated with
www.uk.com
and is not a standalone business. uk.com is a domain, not a TLD, but co.uk is fine because it can be considered as a
TLD
.
Agree with Hillsgrad. .co.uk domain is the one people associate with United Kingdom. If you want your business to be looked as a 'trusted' UK business. Then get a .co.uk domain.
