Thank you Henning, that was it!
I've installed the Fracture template today along with all of the other RT goodies. I quit using Helix because what I thought was a Helix template issue, may not be.
Please look at: jaktech.net/jka . See the "Home" entry near the bottom Looking at it in Firebug shows that it's a <div class="blog-featured" with a <span> ... Home ... </span>.
What is this thing? As I said, I thought it was Helix and dumped it, but it must be Joomla I assume if I'm seeing in my RT Fracture now too.
If anyone has ANY ideas what it is and how I can make it go away, I will be forever grateful! Yes, I am a Joomla <NOOB>

that is where the component is rendering.
you can hide it in the gantry settings.
set "display component" or "display main body" to "off" -
