    Problems on transferring from 1.5 to 2.5

    Posted 12 years 6 months ago
    • I have been using the Affinity template under 1.5 for about 4 years and have sorted out most of the problems in that time. Forced into moving to 2.5 I now find that many things that worked in 1.5 no longer work in 2.5. I have managed to sort out some of them but need help with others.

      The 1.5 site is www.polandexplorer.com - The 2.5 site is www.polandexplorer.com/2.5v1

      1. In 1.5 I set up a new module to display banners next to the logo but when I try to set it up on 2.5 I am finding it impossible to get it lined up and show correctly. I have set it up the same as the 1.5 site. The problem I have is with the depth - i cannot reduce it!

      2. In the module position "user2" i need to centre the images. In 1.5 it centers OK but in 2.5 I am unable to so. - any ideas please. Solution found on this one - put (space) + "customCenter", in Module Class Suffix box - In template.css place "div.customCenter {text-align: center;}"

      (I originally posted this topic under Affinity but no one has viewed it so i have deleated that post and put it here.)

    • I have now transferred my live site from 1.5 to 2.5 so the address is now http://www.polandexplorer.com/ and the new position at the top right is the problem that i am unable to solve. The new position deepens the whole top section but at the same time cuts the bottom part of "f".

    • When you ask for a help on the forum, please disable ANY kind of caching and compression on your site 8)

      Add this to your template css file
      #header-overlay {
      height: 55px !important;
      }

      Correct me if I am wrong but on the web site this F letter is cut off in the image source itself 8)
