SOLVED - Cant set file permissions

Posted 17 years 7 months ago
    • we recently transfered our site from a VPS server to a shared server account. Everything seems to be running fine, except I cant change the permissions for the my template (colomatic) I need to edit the index.php page but it will not all me to CHMOD to 777

      I have tried:
      to overwrite the file
      use joomlaxplorer to change permissions
      change permissions in my cpanel
I even tried to remove the template and it will not allow me to remove it either.

      None of them are working.

      Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

    • It seams that the usergroup that was used with your VPS has come with the move. Ask the host to flush the priviliges to the correct user.

    • thanks for the info I sent that to the new host company.

I assume they can do this but if they come back I was curious if this would work.

      Thanks
