- I'm looking to move from shared hosting to a VPS - not crazy about my current provider and would like recomendations on providers offering VPS hosting with reasonable rates (up to $80/month). Security, speed and uptime are my primary concerns. Thanks!

Hi David,
I am using Gandi for several years and never had any problem. Some of my joomla sites run on PaaS simple hosting from Gandi and performance are just great. For website with few hundreds visits per month I would recommend Gandi PaaS (cost is $5 per month plus VAT). They offer also cloud VPS server if you need better performance.

I also use HostGator VPS, been happy all the time. Plus the support they give is great, and quick.
I had tried WebServe.ca a while back, i wouldn't recommend. They didn't even setup the VPS properly from the start. cPanel had missing icons all over. It was cheaper than HostGator but a big step down.
Otherwise, I don't have any experience with anyone else, but I highly recommend HostGator. And pair it with Cloudflare for security and CDN speed. Win win.
