just i have installed "vortex" in my new site.
it seems it takes some time to load. is loading slower then other templates?
is advisable to use?

Is this a brand new site? What component and modules are you using? I have vortex installed on several sites and the load time is very quick. Can you provide a link to the site and I will take a look around.

- yes for slower connections (128 or below), vortex is slower than most of the other RT templates.
- Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

- Yeah, I have a vortex site, and while I love it, my biggest complaint from users is loading times. I have used this tool as well www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ , but after it tells me that my site is a loading nightmare, it always suggests using some kind of compression. What is it talking about? And can I use it with Joomla?

Wow! I thought my site was fast before. After reading the link above and activating the gzip it is way faster. I just watch the load bar on the bottom and zip it was loaded. Wish i knew about this before. Thanks GollumX not the first time you pointed us in the right direction.
And to think you weren't going to renew..........I'm glad you did.
