How do I get access to get an image into the area I have circled in red? What do I need to do?

Hi WOW you are fast!
I believe it could be called a content area and then Id paste in image there to display on the front page.
How do I create it and what is the position?
Are these the correct terms I am using?

Well, the content area is not a position as such, if we are using the term position in the context of modules.
You will need to create a new article in the Content tab in the Joomla Administrator. Might be an idea to read the manual at help.joomla.org

I have created content but I am unable to get it to display there.
Content is in a category inside a section.
But I cannot get the category or better yet, the section to the position Id like to see an image in.

1. Upload your image via the "Media Manager"
2. Create new content via "Content"...I assume you already know this process
3. Make sure the "front Page" tab is checked (if it is for the home page)
4. In your new Content Item enter your text.
5. Click where you want your image to appear
6. Click "insert image" located right below the white area in the "intro text-required" section
7. It should say {mosimage} where you wanted the image to appear.
8. Click the "Images" tab on the right side of the screen
9. go to the "Gallery Images" and locate your image - the one you uploaded at the beginning.
10. Click the right double arrow to move it to the right box "Content Images"
11 Click on the image description showing in this "Content Images" box
12. Fill out the information below showing under "Edit the image selected"
13. Click "apply"
14. "save"
15. View your page in the browser...Voila!! there is your image embedded in your text.
16. If you need to change the location of the image in regards to the text (top, bottom, etc.), go back to the html tab in the content page you created and change the align= code to show what you want (top, center, etc.) - Last Edit: 17 years 7 months ago by Jackie.
