Has anyone had any experience with a Joomla site that would have hundreds of sections, hundreds of categories, and thousands of menu links?
I read the in J1.5 the menu system is greatly improved. I'm wondering if in the above scenario, if it would be better to go with 1.5 just for that reason.
I know that traffic would be a factor, but leaving that out for now. Just wondering if it would function at all. I also know there are plenty of extensions that would help this scenario (ie. Mosets) but I'm looking for anyone who has done it with just the core Joomla.
