Something is wrong with my standard Joomla User System. The only error I get is this message:
Error
Save failed with the following error: SQL=UPDATE SET username="tester" WHERE = 6366
It does update in the list even though I get this error, but changes I make to Community Builder users don't. I can't tell if it's the standard user system or community builder causing the error.
I have a LOT of users on this site and I desperately need this to work. PLEASE HELP. I appreciate any advice you can give. - When solved, please modify your original post and add (SOLVED) into the subject AND change your icon to the green check. This helps people know they can find a solution in your post if they have the same problem.

My approach would be as follows...
Take back up.
Check Extension Manager - Database tab and see if all ok - if not click Fix option.
Back Up and restore to development site.
Reinstall Community Builder.
Test again.
If still failing upload a zip of your Joomla (minus installation folder) and extract on development site.
Test again.
If neither of those then I am at a loss.

I've tried this and several other steps. Nothing seems to do any good. I've overwritten standard joomla files, done numerous steps to the database and nothing seems to help.
Updates are:
I've uninstalled and deleted Community Builder data, and installed K2. With the K2 user login box:
1.) User retrieve password still doesn't work
2.) Registration - when the user hits "submit", their data is added to the database and found in the backend, however, no emails are sent to either user or admin and a "Registration Failed" error pops up in the frontend.
3.) User profile information can be saved in the backend via K2, but not in the standard user area or at all in the front end. - When solved, please modify your original post and add (SOLVED) into the subject AND change your icon to the green check.
