    Problems after moving the site from a sub-domain

    Posted 17 years 6 months ago
    • After copy all the files of my Simplix installation from a sub-domain to the main domain(and editing the configuration.php), I have got this strange problem; in the front-end all looks fine, but in the backend I cannot edit or make new content or sections. I am able to open the new/edit section, but I am not able to write anything in the description area. Neither I can click cancel, apply or save. On the left down corner it states, "Done, but with errors".

      I have now checked and rechecked the file permissions after the copying. I believe the main domain and sub domain now have equal permissions.

      Does anyone have a suggestion, what the reason for my problem is?

    • Could be an issue with the path.

      eg set up as www.yoursite.com and your loging into the admin section via http.yoursite.com?

    • Thank you for your answer.

      Yes you are right. When I go to www.mydomain.no/administrator I am always redirected to mydomain.no/administrator. Do you know a solution to this?

      When I try to make a new Content Item, I got an Internet Explorer warning in the down left corner. When double click on the warning a box stating the following (under details) pops up;
      Line 3715, Char 5, Error: Access is denied, Code: 0, URL mydomain.no/administrator/indes2.php?opt...sectionid=0&task=new
