Are there any issue(s) I should be aware of with Rocketthemes, Joomla, extensions, etc. that I should address before upgrading my server's PHP from 5.2 to 5.3?
I've backed everything up. I don't want a bunch of broken Joomla sites.
Yes PHP 5.2 is too old now.
To be on the safe side grab a copy of Akeeba backup and clone one of your sites to a subfolder of the root folder. Then using a php.ini file for the new subfolder, set it too use PHP 5.3 and see if you have any issues.
You shouldn't with our stuff as I test everything on my local server which runs 5.3.13 and my HostGator test beds which run 5.3.15.
You never know what clients have added while you're not looking.

I'm happy to report that everything transitioned nicely from PHP 5.2 to 5.3.
The only issue I had was with ionCube, for some affiliate software that I run, which just needed a simple tweak to the php5.ini. All else fine / no problems with anything Rocket Theme.
