Come On! guys, I hope RT forum is not becoming another Joomla like forum where you can't speak your mind with the risk of being banned or post deleted with warning. I have stopped going to Joomla forum because of the said reason not a nice place anymore in fact in past 2 or 3 months I have been at Joomla forum 4 or 5 times.

Don't worry Peter, Andy knows a bit more about customer relations than the J!.org politburo.
In the thread you referenced, I posted a strongly worded msg because I was a little irritated by what I read. Ybis felt insulted by my post and hit back.
I intended to settle the matter amicably, as I always have on this forum, but the moderator felt that we were not capable of doing so... being mere mortals.
Can I just say that keeping things peaceful is great, but trying to make the place sterile... nope, not the way to go. A little emotion now and then is ok, we're not all adults, but not 3yr olds either.
By closing the thread, we did not have a chance to finish our conversation, and settle the matter amicably. Perhaps Ybis now has a grudge against me. He could be submitting my address to countless spam engines
. If we were to ever meet, a bout of good 'ole fashioned fisticuffs might be in order.
It all began because I thought Ybis had been ungrateful (he's a great guy who was let down by his computer). When the moderator answered(hopefully) his question, Ybis was once again denied the chance to say thanks properly.
In closing, I would like to state for the public record: I am not the father of Ybis!

We are more liberal and accomodating than joomla.org, mainly becuase this is a smaller private forum. You just could not effectively run a huge forum like joomla.org if you didn't stick to the letter of the rules. However, there are limits to how far we will stretch the rules.. So please just try to be as courteous and civil as possible and there will be no probs. As we have started to see on these past couple of months, tempers can flare, and when they do common sense and civility go right out the window. This needs to remain a fun and inviting forum where people hang out, not a war zone.
