    • Just last week I finally admitted defeat and reinstalled XP Pro on my laptop.

Plus 4 months ago had to drop my Vista Media Center back to MCE because of countless problems.

I now have 2 legit Vista HP licenses gathering dust :(

Might give it a go once SP1 comes out...but for now, it ain't cutting the mustard.

    • I too am staying far away from Vista until SP1 at least. I have zero reason to upgrade - fancy UI - pfffffttt, who cares about eye candy - performance increase? Don't make me laugh. Improved security? I have zero security issues with XP.

I had a coupon for a free copy of Vista that I could never redeem (before the deadline) as a result of the "fantastic" [read:sarcasm] web site that Microsoft had for this purpose - the site just did not work.

I tell clients to just say no to Vista.

I figure it will be done being beta tested by the public and patched all to heck (ala winME) in about two years.....then maybe ill give it another spin....
