Sweet mother of God! I love 'Easter Eggs' but that one takes the cake! I also found that if you want your page title to change in the browser window's title bar, you have to physically change it in that location too. So under:
Menus > Menu Manager > In the Main Menu row, click on this icon

in the "Menu Items" column > Home > Parameters (System), I then change or delete the "Welcome to the Frontpage" text and the default title of my website 'automagically' appears.
Yes, I know it's a 'basic' tutorial, but it'd be cool if they had one for just this one thing. It seems to confound all of us when we start using Joomla 1.5, and searching the forum took me to quite a few dead ends. Thanks Roger for saving my sanity!
