Can I make content un-copyable?

I want to be able to make the content on my pages such that it can not be copy/pasted. I played with the Replicant template for a while and feel like that was the case (not intentionally set up that way on my part, I just noticed it), but when I went back to check again with the intent of understanding how..., it's no longer working that way. I am now using Equinox and would like to know if/how to set up that functionality. Can anyone help me? (I hope I'm clear in what I'm asking).

, a site that I built, my client had a similar requirement. If you view source on those pages, you will find that I included JavaScript from Dynamic Drive (freely available) that accomplishes this.
Please note, however, that this does not really protect the content, it just makes it harder for the casual thief to lift. IMHO, it is more trouble than it is worth, but I know that sometimes one has to implement it.

Unless your content is hidden in flash or using something I haven't come across then I can get to it.
I like the script you used Mathew and might try it myself, but alas getting the content was as easy as hitting save page as.

Exactly!
Basically, if search engines can see the content, then almost any Web developer/computer power user will be delayed by a few seconds only.
Arguably, it prevents the most craven theft - IE, some dodgy "business person" from copy and pasting the content into their Word document.
In my dusty bin of projects that I have started, but probably won't finish, I was working on a more advanced technique that would introduce purposeful spelling errors into non keywords, and then use a javascript/flash/whatever technique to "fix" the misspelled words. The idea is that the spelling mistakes don't matter for the search engines, since they are on words that are not going to be ranked, but if someone tries to simply rip the site content, then they get a bunch of spelling errors that act as a "fingerprint", and make it much harder on the thief, because they have to correct the errors.
My work on it has been mostly conceptual, but I believe it is possible, I just don't know if it would actually be that useful in the real world. - www.gofftech.com Web Design

So, you take a screen shot - print it and use your scanner in text mode - it copies text into editable format and then you have it all ready to go.
Ultimately if you want it protected - you file copyright, not just put the Stamp on it. Then if you find a violation - simply work with agencies that protect copy righted works.
