Modify "Latest News" Module

    • I am using a modified version of Versatility II to build out www.Facsnet.org , a site for a nonprofit organization that holds seminars for journalists.

At the top of the home page I have placed the "Latest News" module. I like the look of the module, but I can't easily control what appears in there. It displays what is most recently published. I'd like to use it to display the titles of two or three upcoming seminars. This information is not necessarily the most recently published.

Is there a way to modify this module, or create a similar-looking element, that would allow me to specify which items appear and in what order?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

    • That is a core Joomla module, maybe ask them at forum.joomla.org

    • Thanks, James, I have posted the query there as well, but without much luck.

    • Use the Joomla! mod_newsflash module, opting for "vertical" or "horizontal" style instead of "random"
