    I wanna make a New Content Page

    • I am lost as to where to start to layout (WYSIWYG if possible) a NEW content page, is there a tutorial or where would be a good starting point, maybe this is too deep for a newbie like my self

      or maybe I could mod an existing one, but in what editor?

    • You know I am looking for something a little more basic

      I understand what a section is
      I created a section

      I understand what a category is
      I created a category

      I understand what content is
      I created content

      I still do not see the content
      Where should I look for the content?
      I crated a page but I do not see how to add content or a module to that page except I can add text to the page and it shows up int the latest news section...

      BUT for the love of God I have not a clue as to how to make a page and put something of value on it for a viewer

      the -hilite1 module is a total mystery to me, what is it where does it go, how do you use it. etc.

      I have looked at about 30 video tutorials and not one shows me something in the middle of how to sign in as the admin to some deep php code writing. Excuse me but I am very frustrated, and the zillion folks out here trying to sell me something or their time or make me but this or that. some video tutorials are blatant advertisement with a ounce of substantiative information and a pound of flaky stuff

      I hope I can shed some light on this myself and share with others what I learn. I think Joomla is great, but the horrendous learning curve is sad.... I dont think that I am alone, forgive me if I am.

      Is there a book I can read?????

      I will build knowledge and share it with others

      I guess at this point if you still don't quite grasp using joomla and creating content, publishing it, putting it in categories and sections, creating links to it, that maybe you should do some more reading on the subject.
      Reading everything you can at help.joomla.org as well as the user manual should help you immensely to help joomlify your noggin. It really is fun and easy once you get your head wrapped around it. :)
      no php coding needed for a beginner.

    • Right I did not grasp the concept,

      here is the KEY thing that you and others failed to say that made the whole thing WORK

      "You need to put a navigation button connection to the new page on a menu that points to the new page"

      Now on to solving the hilite1 how to make and insert one of these in to a site......and make adsense work in it... ;)
