    • I've been bouncing around with this for a few days ... it's time to get some help.

I moved the default Versatility III "Home" page from the main menu to the top menu ... the link still works to click on it but when directly going to the site, there's nothing but .... "The page you are trying to access does not exist. Please select a page from the main menu."

      woodbase.org

The permissions are correct and the component link is still " /index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1 "

Does anyone know how to keep my home page as my home page, but move the link to the topmenu?

    • if your item id is still 1 this should be working ..

for some reason though the frontpage component likes to be top of the list on the main menu - could you not just copy it from main to top?

    • Thanks damo ... I did finally find a post on joomla.org about this. Apparently this is a common setting in 1.5 that can redirect the home page.

However, in 1.0.13 it has to be the first published item in the 'Main' menu. Even if the main menu itself is not published.
