hi, i am planning to build a site based on this template and i just want to ask how i can make it in a way that members will log in first before they can see the site. i need this because it will be an exclusive site and i don't want others to see the site if they are not a member.

Why not just publish everything with "registered only" permissions?
For even greater control, you could use:
extensions.joomla.org/component/option,c...nk_id,387/Itemid,35/

Hi,
thanks for all the help. i really don't want to pay another membership to get those components because this is for a free site. i found an easier solution. i just logged in the cpanel and clicked on password protect directories under security. Just followed what it said and voila.the site is password protected already. My host is bluehost.
