optimizing template for SEO

Hi Andy,
What would you suggest for changing the template so that the content apears first int he source code but still show correctly in the layout?
Is there anything that can be done as I'm trying to optimize for SEO and need the text with keywords to appear before the main menu so that search engine spiders reach the content before leaving the page.
