TinyMCE no longer xhtml valid in joomla 1.5 stable

    • Did anyone noticed this already, or am I the only one?

      TinyMCE now adds code to your articles, plus several stuff it makes with capital letters.

      like now it is IMG sometimes instead of img, <A instead of <a, this definitely makes whole your joomla site
      xhtml invalid, when you use TinyMCE.

      One example of what it adds to a simple image

      <img src=" fantasytvshows.info/joomla/images/stories/inset.png " mce_src="images/stories/inset.png" alt="inset van fantasytvshows" title="inset fantasytvshows" height="130" width="860">

      I can work without editor, but my publishers can't. They need the TinyMCE plugin.
      In the previous version RC4 nightbuild, TinyMCE worked like it should.
      Now in a final stable version, it don't.

      It adds to several codes mce_ in front, very annoying.

      it puts B, P, instead of b, p and so on.
      Anybody got a solution for this, I tried JoomlaFCK, but the latest one with the image fix, still doesn't give images.

    • You might try some of the editor plugin settings. Go to Extensions, Plugin Manager, open up Editor - TinyMCE 2.0

      I changed my URL's to absolute and it quit putting the mce_ reference before images. There's a toggle for line breaks, P or B elements. There's a few other things you might try in these settings to get what you are looking for.

    • I already tried those things, putting the urls to absolute, didn't change a thing.
      TinyMCE still adds stuff like mce_src
