"Latest News" module with Ajax ?

Posted 17 years 2 months ago
    • Hi all ! :-*

First of all, sorry for my poor english. So if you don't understand what i'm trying to explain, say it and i will try to explain in a different way ;)

My futur web site (in local developpement) will have ~100 news per day (in 10 categories) with a new generation and customised template (Replicant :D ).

I've spent all of my day searching for a module that show latest news in a list (so no intro, no sliding effect, ...) with Ajax technology. For example : the last X news (for a category id) with buttons to navigate trough next X news without, of course, need to refresh the page but only the module. No chance with Google. I've visited jquery, mootools web site in order to find script "ready to use for dummies", no way..

So, that's why i'm knocking on your door. Does anyone here know a module like that ? If it does not exist, could you please explain me how to integrate Ajax (no matter the library used like jquery, mootools, ...) technology on an existing module ?

Thank you very very much for your help ;)

    • It works fine with colormatic and I think you will not have problems.

    • One last question, please Franck.

Do you have an idea to have multiple module on the same page ?

Nop, it's simply not possible because this would create conflict. You can use only one ajax listing per page. However, it's the better solution to display one query with ajax on joomla.

    • Well as I have more chance to be helped by God than the author to solve the bug of this module (and encrypted files so no access), I'm currently searching for something else. Does someone know an other component/module, please ?

      Thx for your help
