Migrate installation to Joomla 1.5 ??

Hello,
I am relatively new to Joomla, and I have only just signed up with Rocket Theme (which I think is great!).
The questions I would like to ask are:
I have just installed Populus using Rocketlauncher. Would it be desirable, and sensible to migrate the installation to Joomla 1.5 now, before I start creating the site?
If I don't do it now, is it something that I am really going to have to do in the future?
