    PC BIOS Features?

Posted 17 years 2 months ago
    • I'm looking to purchase a new motherboard and want to check to see if there is a "Power ON after Power Failure" option in the BIOS. Does anyone know how I can determine if a motherboards BIOS offer that? I'm having a hard time finding the features listed for this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059

    • I got this mobo a few weeks ago also. Nice. :)

Yes, it should be able to resume from a power failure. In the BIOS it's called "AC Back Function".

    • Are you 100% sure? Have you seen it in your BIOS? I guess I need to do my research on BIOS...

    • Yes I've seen "AC Back Function" in the BIOS. The description for it seems to be what you want. From another site:

"If you wish the machine to power on automatically on AC power back, you should configure the BIOS setup. Just enter BIOS Setup, then enter Power Management Setup, set the value of "AC Back Function" to "Full-On", then save and exit BIOS Setup."
