Content Item styling

This question covers all templates.
Is it possible to have individual content styling, similar to that of the hlite function but applied to just content items?
Something simple such as a rounded border would suffice - just to help distinguish one article from another.
The site I am messing around with at the moment: www.hevshe.com/index.php
The content area has the border around all the content - can this be applied to each separate content item instead?
Currently the home page is set to have the 5 latest articles displayed, I am trying to achieve a little more separation between them.

You can add modular styling into content items such as
<div class="module-hilite2"><div><div><div> My static content item </div></div></div></div>

I have tried that as shown here: www.hevshe.com/index.php
Its close to the look I am trying to achieve though it only puts the hilite around the content body. Trying to get the article title, date and user inside that as well.
The content area background has a border around it madeup of images such as content-r.png, If this could be removed and applied to each content item instead that would be great.

Most joomla sites with concurrent articles seem to flow into the next making it hard for the user to differentiate individual topics. The joomla frontpage is evident of this: www.joomla.org/ ; There are 4 content articles there but at first glance appear to be one big topic. - Last Edit: 17 years 2 months ago by AzzX.
