    • Interesting thread. It is difficult to suggest a gift for an unknown recipient, but I'll give it a go.

I'd do something modest but thoughtful for the Vday and 8mos. gift/s. Flowers are always nice and the 'receiving flowers at work/school' idea, never gets old. A nice mix with a few roses and some decent fillers like Callas or white lisianthus, in a tasteful vase that she can hang on to as a keepsake when the flowers eventually fade. Avoid carnations and baby's breath (cliche and very 80's - Trust me, I'm a florist). Order by Monday at the latest if you want them for Vday.

I'd go bigger on the b-day as that is her own 'special' day from everyone else. A pendant as Roland suggested is a great idea. Perhaps arrange for something in the stone of the month you got together (8 months... June = Pearl?) as well as her birthstone and your birthstone. Could be done with earrings instead. White gold seems to be way more popular lately than the yellow golds... just a tip.

Whatever you do decide, make sure it is thoughtful and unique to her taste and style without going way overboard as gift giving occasions early in the relationship will set a precedence for all future occasions....No pressure eh! :P

    • Well I just read the Wendy Post...and there are something that im not agree

1..- Flowers= Flowers can be a complement but not the principal gift, that idea here is that she carry the special gift that you will to buy her everyday, so the flowers cant be with her anytime.

2.- I think that here is so important to know her age

3.- Im a business woman, always getting new stuffs and seems good, so the pendand idea could be a good option, in my case someone so special to me gave me a gift that i always carry with me ...thats was a thin gold necklace(if its short better) that came with a little pendant, (a little Heart) the half was made at diamonds and the other at gold, that look good, when i wear serious clothes and when i wear sport clothes or casual clothes.

4.- The idea of a gift is nice even the best gift that you can give to her is be special everyday, treat her like a queen.

      Hope thats help

      Regards

My motto is, "happy wife, happy life", and it hasn't failed me yet! Ensure that she knows every day that she is your one and only.

    • I would get shot if I answered this honestly. :P I'd be right, and it would work...but I'd by shot by my fellow Rocketteers. ::)

Lets just say - when it comes to women...you have to know how to Jiggle Dance them and keep them on their toes wanting more.

Giving them everything or being a pushover bores them to death and creates the "nice guys finish last syndrome". Oh' they will say this and that...but how many times has a women changed her mind or said something and did the opposite?

Play it cool...keep is simple. The first thing is - it is not the gift - it is how you present it.

1 - Do you build up to it as something else that is totally silly and keep her guessing only to surprise her with something nice.
2 - Do you play it cool and make it like you forgot then surprise her in the end at the right moment.

Things like that can build up those butterflies in her stomach and make her want you more, plus it makes it exciting for her. I am going to shut up for now...

Oh, ::) just imagined if I had given my first instinct answer.

    • Thanks Mariela and Wendy ;)
You can be sure I will try to treat her like a queen :D

I was thinking of candles, flowers and diner for the valentine day. I have already made some shopping.
But for his Birthday I still hesitate between a mobile phone (because her mobile is almost broken and she spend her life at phone) and a little pendant.
Have you some suggestion about this ? Useful gift or jewel ?

    • Youyou, the mobile phone sounds like: " I WANT to know all time where you are AND what you are doing!!!". It's typically a male gift!
... and it's exactly what I offered to my wife :D
      Good choice ;D
