How to restrict display levels of MainMenu?

Using J!1.5, RT MediaMogul with MooMenu, I am trying to restrict the Main Menu to Start Level = 0 and End Level =2. However no matter the settings in mod_mainmenu, the Main Menu always displays *EVERY* level of my very deep menu.
How do I restrict the display levels of the Main Menu?
