    • Hi

I'm setting up a joomla site that'll have loads of images, so I'd ideally like to scroll through images to pick which image I'd like to insert. Is there a component or something that I can install that will do this? Some kind of image manager for the backend?

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. :-)

    • Me again :)

The link you kindly gave me seems to link to image galleries for front end. I'm looking for something to help me manage my images in the backend /admin part of joomla...

Where would i find Slideshow Pro?

    • Thanks Mariela.

Are these two helpful for image management / insertion in backend of Joomla?

I checked them out but they seem to be for front end image galleries. Have I misunderstood their purpose perhaps?

Basically, when I add an image using the tiny WYSIWG, I'd like to be able to see thumbnails of the images and click on the one I'd like to insert. Is there anything like that?

    • If you upload pics to, say, images/ stories and use the {mosimage} bot, you can view images before using them.
The one caveat is that you cannot use {mosimages} bot in static content.

    • Thanks so much Roland that's exactly what I was after.

Just one question about uploading the images... looks like I can only upload photos in the images > stories folder - is that correct? MosImage doesn't seem to be able to access images in the 'images' root folder for example. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
