Solved: Simple question... How to make read more in joomla 1.5

- i know this sounds stupid. just want to know how to make read more in joomla 1.5.
  
  i think i am missing out on something. i tired to use so many times this read more icon on the bottom of the editor and put it where i want the article to be cut or seperated. but it does not show in the actual webpage.
  
  Another thing. can someone explain to me what the page break does? it also does not seem to work.
  
  is there any free users guide to joomla 1.5? i tried looking but cant seem to find one.

- This is now implemented by inserting a Read more... tag (the button is located below the editor area) a dotted line appears in the edited text showing the split location for the Read more.... A new Plugin takes care of the rest.
  
  It is worth mentioning that this does not have a negative effect on migrated data from older sites. The new implementation is fully backward compatible.
  
  The page break splits up long articles into separate pages with a menu "Article Index". To use, click on the area of your article where you would like to split it up and then click the "page break" button at the bottom of the editor. A popup window appears and allows you to enter your page title.

  i tried doing this so many times. but i doesnt seem to work. i have this long article that i need to break into pages. I tried using the read more link and the page break. saved the document. but when i look at the site, it still shows the entire document in one page.
  
  what could i be doing wrong?
  
  i have the legacy mode on. does this affect this?

- Hi I have the exact same problem and have been searching everywhere for a fix. I really don't know what do do.
  I have 1.5.2 installed and the readmore link only works on the front page.
  It's driving me insane!
