- Does anyone know of an extension that will let me list an author bio at the end of each article like the ijoomla magazine does? The ijoomla magazine component is over kill when all I am looking for is being able to add bio and pictures and maybe related articles. I think I heard somewhere that the Rocketthemes folks were working on a magazine feature but can't find reference to it anywhere.

Have you checked out Joomla.org, under extensions there is a pretty good line up of different extensions. Another posibility is to install Community Builder and create a custom extension from the Community Builder to add the profile to the story.

I id find out that if you use IJoomla Magazine, put it in position 1, then remove it, or disable it, you are now back to the normal frontpage, when you click on an article, the Author bio will appear. The bad thing is that you will have to manually add the articles a second time in the IJoomla Magazine component, which is a waste of time, but will have the bio appear.
Something else I did, was I able to get the author related articles to appear by using Meta Data keywords for the content, basically just use the authors name. Use a Mambot that will display articles that are related to it using the keywords. - To make a donation for my efforts, click the globe to the left.

Thanks. I am leaning toward using community builder for this.
I find it curious that a CMS like Joomla doesn't have this feature built-in to the system by default. (Or at least a component especially for it)
