Hi
I am creating a site for a friend,, very simple and straight forward in Joomla.
Her biz has a need for people to submit a registration application to become a member of a plan,, that plan costs X amount of dollars a year to belong to.
so as I see it I need, 1) A Custom enrollment Form, 2) Paypal and 3) Yearly subscription..
since I am new to this aspect of function in Joomla,,, is there a component that will do all the above? is it seperate components? and if so, which ones work well together..... OR, do I need to hunker sdown and prepare myself on creating something from scratch??

You can use Community Builder for custom registration; I know there is a beta subscription plugin but I don't know the functionnalities.
For paid subscription of articles or component access I use JcontentSubscription joomlaequipment.com/content/view/7/34/
Works well for me. If you want to use joomla 1.5 you must buy the component on www.joomsuite.com/
