  • How to remove Filter, Order, Display from "Latest News" page display template

      I wish to hide or remove the Filter, Order and Display boxes. I cannot find the parameter that controls whether or not to display these items. Otherwise, do I need to edit a script? If so, which path/filename?

      Also, which CSS file and section controls the layout of this page?

    • That would probably be better answered from joomla.org, although I do not know of a way to just change that page with css.

      No. It is a "Link -URL" since I wanted to go directly to the category (News You Can Use) listings. I was also curious if additional info can be displayed, such as author name and a partial section of the article, e.g., the first 250 characters - as I do with the blog (purchased component = My Blog). I could not find any way to set preferences to enable this. Perhaps I can accomplish this with some third-party extension? If so, any recommendations?

    • How about trying a test and create a Blog - Content Category link and play with the Parameters to achieve the look that you want. For example you could set the #leading and #intro to 0 and the number of links to whatever you want to display only links and there will be no filter.
