Creating own 'rocket launcher'

Is it possible for me to include all the components and modules I would normally include on a joomla install into the rocket launcher package and upload them in one hit rather than manually installing them all after the installation?
I'm creating a module and component package to be used by local schools for their websites. It would be great to just upload one package (like RL) and then just configure it. Will one of the desktop packages allow me to get a really nice joomla site running locally, then package it up and upload it in one hit?
