- Anyone know of any good event calendar modules that you can adjust the calendar size? And or display what even it is somewhere else on the page? IE: Above it?

Events Calendar
works good for me and as a matter of fact I use the latest events module right above it.

This might be a bit different than what you are looking for but if you have Google calendar you can get GCalendar components/modules to display your google calendar in your joomla site.
