I would like to know if anyone is using Codelock JOOMLA HTML Encoder.

I'm very interested by this extension that promise to encrypt the source code of pages. I'm running a video website and I saw several websites using the direct location of my videos instead using the embed code with my logo! So, I'm thinking to encrypt the source code. The developper says the module prevent human to see the source code but let the search engines read it by autodetection. It's a wonderful function! However, I don't want to test the module and see my site loosing positions...
Some feedbacks would be greats.

It just isn't worth the trouble Franck. There will be encryption involved at the server side, and then decryption on the client (browser) side. These are extra steps you are adding before your genuine visitors get you view each and every page your serve. If there was no alternative, then I'd see why you might want to go ahead with it. But in this case, there is. Don't punish your genuine visitors just because of the few a**holes who steal.
Keep trying with the htaccess method. Google around and i'm sure you'll get it working.
Thats my 2cents anyway. - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

I have not seen the problem for users... In the meantime I have installed the protection in a test site and it was very easy. The website do not seems to take more time to load.
However, I can't do a test with search engines because I prevent them to index the test site...
I will search another solutions on GG. I discovered a software who display videos from my website. If it was just few videos, I'd don't care but they are streaming A LOT OF videos from my server and they don't display my logo or a link to my website!!! :-\
