JSAS Membership

I saw that the JSAS application now requires membership due to lack of donations.
I would not mind signing up for a year, as it will give you access to new versions and so on.
But can anyone with a membership confirm if there are any new releases in near future?
I mean for the last year there has not been an update, so a 1 year membership would not give a lot.
Just curious if anyone knows something?
