My web hosting provider sent me this URL:
168.243.14.19/~calvarenga/
x in order to install joomla. I have uploaded the files to the server. How do I see the install.php file to install joomla in the server with this URL? Is x=install.php?

Yes, I did it using FTP through Dreamweaver. I can see the files in the remot view.

By looking at the directory you did upload to the correct folder.
If your site has:
/www or /html
install all of the files in that directory
Some dedicated servers have a /www, but actually it is installed in the /var/www/html directory
If you are using a second domain on a dedicated server it is located in the /ftp/public/~username folder
Best way to tell is if you have cpanel ( yourdomain.com/cpanel ) than it is in the www directory - Jessica Kennedy
