  • SOLVED Custom URL -- can I point a specific...

    • Hello again,

I'm wondering... can I point a specific article / item ID to a specific URL location?

      Example:

      My article is Item26

I'd like to have this article / page come up with someone types in: www.yourdomain.com/reprint

      Does this question make sense?

As always... thanks for any help or ideas you might have!! :)

    • it's kind of possible. first you need to link your item to a menu somewhere so it has an itemid not just an article id. then you need to use some sef tool like sefadvance or opensef, to create an alias of 'reprint' to this menu item's url.

    • Andy,

      Thanks for the insight!

I'm new to the SEF idea... so I'm over at: www.open-sef.org/documentation/introduction.html reading up on it

I'm sure this will work for our needs.

Thanks again for all your wonderful work here at RT!! :D
