Modules showing up on content pages incorrectly

Posted 16 years 10 months ago
    • The site was developed by a developer and now I am managing it. Please take a look -
      www.visionomics.com

This is not a rockettheme template though.

The wave movie on the left and the "Preparing for The Impending Workforce Tsunami" on the right are activated on user1 and user2 positions ONLY on the front page. But they are still showing up on other pages such as the Keynote Speaking page. Any idea why this is happening? I would like to turn these boxes off on all pages except the home page. Your help is highly appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Srini

    • In module manager edit the module's menu assignments on the left side of the edit screen. This controls where your modules will appear.

    • Thanks for the reply. But I am not sure I understand.

The site is on Joomla 1.0.13.

I assume you mean the "menu item links" on the right hand side of the edit screen. The only menu item the module is linked to is "main menu - home". However it shows up on other pages as well such as the Keynote Speaking page.

      Any help is appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Srini

    • I've never worked with J!1.0.13

Have you posted at joomla.org since it isn't a RT template?

    • Yes I did, their replies weren't direct. They just taught me how to read the URL etc...I have worked with several Joomla 1.0.13 and Joomla 1.5 sites and never had this problem before..

    • It looks like you figured it out Srini?

Btw, it looks like the template in use now is RT's VIII.

    • Yes, thanks for your help! It was an sh404sef issue. It was assigning incorrect item id's to come of the pages. I am still new to that component so learning as I go.

I did not know that it was a rocket theme template :) , great, now I have your excellent support for that site as well.

      Thanks,
      Srini
