    • Right!

I've got a bit of a cheeky request and after hitting a few brick walls I decided to turn you you guys for a bit of assistance. The issue is this. I've been trying to install the UGM component and have been having problems. I installed the component via the standard joomla install upload and I got the message 'Install successful' (or whatever the exact wording is). I then went to select the component in the backend from the Components menu and what I saw was the image attached below.

As you can see from the picture. Not even the standard Joomla icons are showing in the top right hand corner (i.e. new, save, cancel etc). Weird huh?? I then went and had a look at the directory structure, and lo and behold what should I find. The com_ugm directory was empty!! The install procedure had created the directory but not uploaded anything into it!! Hmmmm....thinks I? must be a rights issue. I set the rights on everything to 777 and tried again. Only to get the same results. I am well and truly stumped.

What makes matters worse is the fact that the OSCandy website was attacked by hackers some time ago and so the site is down(ish) and there isn't even a forum I can direct a query to. I wondered if anybody here would know what might be causing this stranger problem, or alternatively (and here comes the cheeky request!!) if anybody has recently installed the component and got it working would they zip the com_ugm folder up and send it to me. I'm sure if I can just copy the correct files into the directory it'll work. Or then again, maybe not!!

If anyone can help me out here, i'd be extreeeeemely grateful.

      Thanks in advance.
