How to NOT have a default menu item?!

Posted 16 years 10 months ago
    • To be more clear, I want to basically REMOVE the default menu item.
and make my logo clickable to the default menu item....

so from left of the header of my template to the right...I would have the following:

      Logo - Tab 1 - Tab 2 - Tab 3 - etc...

where the Logo is linked to my index page and Tab 1 is my second menu item in the mainmenu, etc...

      Please help!

      Thanks.

    • Joomla needs a default menu to actually work, there isn't a way around it within Joomla.

However, if your logo is directly horizontal to your tab menu items such as in Vortex, you can be a bit sneaky :) You could add a negative margin and low z-index to the menu so the first item would be below the logo which results in the same thing for you.
