Default page vs Home page

Hello Rocket Theme community,
I am facing difficulites with my populus template, I hope you can help me. If you have a look at my website www.qatarexpatriation.com you will find that I had to assign another page than my home page as the default page. I had to do that to keep the itemid=69 that you can see if you bring the mouse over the "Accueil" tab (my real homepage). Without the itemid=69 from my home page, all the pages I reach from it lost the left modules which is quite anoying. How can I assign my home page "Accueil" as the default page of my website and keep the itemid=69 at the same time.
I really don't understand where I am wrong !!
