How Do We Add A Favicon

Hi,
I still have an issue with that: in my page source there is a duplicate of favicons for some reason:
This:
<link href="/budget/favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" />
And later this:
</script> <link href="/favicon.png" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/png" /> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.budgetkerbingwa.com.au/favicon.png" type="image/png" /> </head>
I want to get rid of the first code but I am not sure where to find it. Am I on the right track? - What we have to learn to do, we learn by doing. - Aristotle

I've never done it the second way with type="image/png" I was under the understanding it has to be the .ico format.
But the both bits of code should be in your HTML of your actual template file. - Send moderators PMs ONLY if they request it.

- if you go into your template and go to the Edit HTML button, you dont see it in there?

I dont see the first anywhere, it is only showing me

<link rel="shortcut icon" href=" www.budgetkerbingwa.com.au/favicon.png " type="image/png" />
that is the only thing in the source of IE6/7 and FF3 and in the edit HTML button.

1. Use an FTP client and delete the favicons.
2. Convert your PNG to ICO and use the code i supplied in my earlier post.
3. Check for favicon references in rt_head_includes.php and index.php
