i started a thread over on teh joomla site:

basically i cant login to the admin on one of my sites. it says username password incorrect, please try agian. it's not and i've changed nothing ... a little surprised

This happend to me once after installed some component. I had to go into the database and change the password.

hi stewart ... thats the thing, i've not installed anything.
i'm guessing its a script i've installed that was basically not safe, that has been compromised

looks like the site has been hacked and whoever did it has left a few additional files in the root of the site. not sure what these files do yet but very suspicious
looks like i have to restore to previous and get rid of whatever allowed access

From the file dates listed on the bigape site I doubt if the files there are fixed.
