    Content Elements for Joom!Fish

    • Joom!Fish 2.0 RC1
      Docman 1.4 RC3

This post is just a shot in the dark...

I've been on the JoomlaTools & Joom!Fish for a few days now with no reply. :-[

      Anyone using DocMan 1.4 RC3 with Joom!Fish 2.0 RC1?

I've been to the download section of Joom!Fish looking for Content Element files for DocMan.

The version available is for version 1.8, and after some tweaking I've got it to work, however there are still some problems.

On the first page from the main menu, the Category titles headings are taken from "contentheading".

On the second page, when the links are followed from the first, the Category titles are taken from "dm_name', which is correct. (This is the name that appears in the in the Content elements file.)

Details are in these threads on the JoomlaTools & Joom!Fish forum:

    • The fix:

      www.joomfish.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2...9e56ff6749e3ca#p9756

      Go to: administrator>components>com_joomfish>contentelements>categories.xml

      From: <field type="text" name="name" translate="0">Name</field>

      To: <field type="text" name="name" translate="1">Name</field>

      To clarify:

Once you make the change you must go back to 'Categories' in Joom!Fish and add the Name for the Category.

You'll notice when you edit the item that a 'new field' is present for its translation.

Nothing will change on the front end after the change until you go back to Translations, and add the necessary translations.

My mistake was making the change and expecting the error to fix itself by pulling up info that had already been translated. Not the case, make the change, add the translation, and then you'll be all set.
