Registration Problem

So, first off here is the website:

The site works great except for the registration. If a user tries to register the first time it will just send him back to the homepage and not register him at all. The second time however it will work and give the notification "registration complete" the way it is supposed to. But I cannot imagine that my users want to register twice. Does anyone know what might be wrong that would cause this to happen?
