    Good luck for your migration!

    • I decided to migrate my website to Joomla!1.5 . We know that Joomla! 1.0.x will not be supported after July 2009 and template / extension developpers will support only 1.5 very soon. My website is a large portal and I started the migration 2 weeks ago in a sub folder. The migration of the content is not dificult with the appropriate migrator. The problem is the components / modules / plugins migration. I'm using some important extensions for my website and it's not possible to build a new version of my website without them.
The lack of support from the extension developpers is something very bad and incredible. I didn't find any plugin to migrate the 3rd party extensions I use and no tutorial/FAQ/forum to help people to do this job.

The only support I got was from Acajoom. They explained how to do and it was easy.
I didn't have any advice from Azrul to migrate their extensions (used their forum) and no response from Phil Taylor email support as always.

I have some knowledge and it was possible to use some DB tables. However it's a shame to see that the migration process is not more easy and we cannot count with developper's advice for this job.

So, if you want to start the migration of your website... good luck! :)
