What plugin/module can I use to capture visitor's email adresses

  • What plugin/module can I use to capture visitor's email adresses

    • Hi Gang!

What module or pplug-in an I use in order to feature (on every page) the capacity for the visitor to register their e-mail address?

Could I adapt the login module? I don't know what that's called either!

      Be well and thanks

    • Just use a login Module.

Turn on the 'Register Now' link.

When users register in the site, they'll have to enter their e-mail.

It'll be stored in the DB under users.

    • Hi Man,

I tried putting it on the page - and i gotta couple of Qs!

      1. does this mean the 'giver' of email address has to fill in th elogin form AND then fill in the registration form as well? I don't like the idea of making th epoor user fill out the same form again - ideally i just was email, name BANG!! no extra bull! ;-) Can this still be achieved by using the login form?

      2. You mention the register now link - am i being dumb?? I don't see it in the admin config...

      thx for all the help

    • 'e-login' form?

Are you using another registration component?

If so, is the input stored in the database somehow?

      What template are you using?

Have you checked the parameters of the login in module to be sure the 'allow registration is active?

      Can you provide a link?
    • Thanks,

    • See screen shots:

      This should get you sorted.

If you have any questions, please post back.

Seems like you already have it, just published to the wrong position.

You can also adjust the parameters for Lost password, Lost username, Create account in the module itself.
    • Thanks,
      jim

    • Hey good buddy!

Thanks man you are the kind of helpfulness!

      OK 2 thing i see.
You seem to be looking at rep v1 - re
pv2 - see screenie belo doesnt have any of those funky params (maybe tho they are irrelevant) on the right as per your screenie

also this is how i have got the mod setup and still i get some rubbish output ;-)

see the second screenie.. and goto westessexhypnotherapy.co.uk to see that it's fubar :P
also .. on some pages, there isnt even the funny little bar - theres nothing at all.

      your brilliant thoughts please!

Many thanks on a saturday night (there is nothing on television!)

      best,

    • 1.5!
      oh right yeah!

I renamed the 'sign in' to be 'make contact' - to protect the integrity of the module just in case i balls it up - and i did!

OK so kool.. I have this sucker on the page.. but now i have EVEN MORE questions

(is that a sigh I hear???)

      OK.

      1.
how'd i make this mod work so this is the ONLY point of capture necessary?

      2.
is there any research stats - in your <esteemed> opinion of where an email registration box should appear - ir L/R high on page/low on page - that has been found to be most conducive to sign up?

Right thanks! I am off to play with this badboy now!

      CHEERS man - you kickass.
